- Customers
must adhere to all posted US Forest Service regulations
and complete a US Forest Service self registration permit.
- Alcohol
and drugs are not permitted on river trips.
- Minimum
of two crafts per group on Section III
- Maximum
Trip Size of 12 Boats (various sizes).
- No
Littering – please pack all trash out with you.

Trip and Rental Policies
- Estimated trip times (below) are at normal water
levels (1.3 to 2.2 feet) and with an allowance for short
stops and scouting. It is up to the participants to be aware
of progress and return equipment within the appropriate
timeframe or be subject to a $40/hour late fee.
- Management
retains the right to cancel trips based upon current weather
conditions and assessment of participants experience &
ability - please call ahead for current river level and
weather conditions.
- Maximum
Section III Water Level 2.5
- Minimum
Water Level 1.3 for raft rentals
- Minimum
Water Level 1.0 for inflatable kayak rentals
- Rental
equipment below the Highway 76 bridge take-out (Section
IV) is strictly prohibited and subject to a fine of $200
per person.
- Customers must provide credit card information to
secure equipment reservations and as a security deposit.

Cancellations within 48 hours forfeit the 20% deposit.

Section
III - Full Day Trip
This
exciting class III whitewater run is a classic in the Southeast. Come enjoy nine miles of one of the oldest watersheds
in the world as you paddle down a corridor of green trees
and large boulders. Numerous
class II and III rapids culminate with the class IV Bulls
Sluice (easily scouted and walked) right before the 76 bridge
take-out. This river
trip is appropriate for those with previous whitewater rafting
experience and those going with experienced individuals.

Section III - River Trip Requirements and Expectations
- The standard put-in location for Section III is
Sandy Ford. Earls
Ford put-in is by request only and subject to appropriate
water levels.
- Section III trips requires the participants to carry
their own equipment 1/4 mile (10-15 minute) carry to and
from the river.
- Estimated times are at normal water levels (1.3
to 2.2 feet) and include an allowance for short stops
and scouting. It is up to the participants to be aware
of progress and return equipment within the appropriate
timeframe or be subject to a late fee.
- Identification of the class IV Bull’s Sluice rapid
and the Highway 76 takeout is MANDETORY for those not
familiar with these river features.
- Participants must be at least 12 years of age or
older.

III - Half Day Trip
A
shorter version of the above trip you will enjoy three miles
of one of the oldest and most scenic watersheds in the world
as you paddle down a corridor of green trees and large boulders.
Each half-day trip option consists of mostly class
II+ rapids, however each of the
respective trip contains one class IV which can easily scouted
and walked.

Section
II and the West Fork - Full Day Trips
Section
II and the West Fork are beautiful five to six mile stretches
of moving flat-water, class II shoals and one class III
rapid. These river
adventures are a great introduction to whitewater rafting
and a great way to relax.
Family friendly fun is appropriate for 5 years old
and up. Sit back and enjoy the fantastic scenery of
these upper sections of river, as well as on the scenic
drive.
